Challenge
Kennywood Entertainment wanted a partner who could develop
a Web site that better reflected the mission of the park and
engaged visitors to the site in a fun, friendly, and informative
fashion.
The end goal was to create a flexible, informative website
that would be easily maintainable by the Kennywood team. The
site had to be able to deliver medium amounts of constantly
changing information without burdening the Kennywood staff
or significanlty delaying thw publishing of new information.
Result
PMI designed and developed a new website that reflects Kennywood's
personality and incorporated elements from the Kennywood midway
as well as implementing rotating graphics to keep the site
fresh and clean.
PMI implemented a site that could be easily managed by the
Kennywood staff. A content management system was implemented
where specific access was granted based upon roles and responsibilities
within Kennywood. The staff is now able to make daily updates
to the site instead of waiting for an outside developer to
make text changes on the site.
Based upon site visitor stastics,
site traffic has increased by 800% since it's launch
in January 2005.
PMI exceeded Kennywood's expectations and continues to work
as a partner on a regular basis to implement new features
